RIBA International  design competition - 2nd Place

Echoing the Maasai village structure, the museum adopts a circular plan with a symmetrical layout, offering a protective enclosure from the surrounding wildlife. The circular wall is interrupted by four openings, two of which serve as the main entrances/exits, while the others function as emergency exits or staff-controlled access points. Windows, fitted with a louver system made from Masai shields, allow natural light into the museum while also providing shade for outdoor seating areas.
